6th-level Conjuration

Casting Time: 10 minutes

Range: 1,000 feet

Components: V, S, M (a vial of rain water)

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour

Classes: Cleric, Druid The wind abruptly changes direction and dark clouds appear in the sky within a 100-foot-radius-cylinder that is 50 feet tall, centered on a point you choose within range. Sheets of torrential rain begin to fall in this area, causing the following effects.

  • This area is heavily obscured by high winds and heavy rain. Creatures within this area are considered blinded while outdoors.
  • The movement speed for all creatures and vehicles that are outdoors in this area is halved.
  • This area is warded against divination magic, and cannot be penetrated by scrying sensors.

When you cast this spell, you can designate up to 8 willing creatures that are immune to the negative effects within the target area. Chosen creatures can use their full movement speed and are not blinded; they are, however, still warded against divination magic for the duration.

If you maintain concentration on the monsoon for its full duration, all plants within the affected area are enriched for 1 year, and yield twice the normal amount of food when harvested.
