Conch of Summoning
Wondrous item, rare Market Price: 550 gp
This appears to be a standard conch shell, with no magical runes or other markings. When blown into, the shell emits a low frequency resonant sound, audible for up to several miles. This sound of this particular conch shell happens to mimic the mating call of some of the sea’s deadliest monsters.
As an action, you can blow into the conch to attempt to summon a monster of the deep. Roll a d6. On a roll of 5-6, a gargantuan monster is attracted to the sound of the conch, appearing in an unoccupied space within 1,000 feet of you. The type of monster summoned depends on your current geographic location, as shown below.
| LOCATION | MONSTER |
| China, Japan | Umibōzu |
| Parthia, Africa | Rukk |
| Southern Islands, India | Tanifa |
| Rome, Celt, Northlands | Porphyrios |
You have no control over the monster that is summoned, and the monster is hostile to everything it can see, attacking the enemy nearest it, or else the enemy that most recently attacked it. The monster remains until it is reduced to 0 hit points, decides to retreat, or else looses interest.
